Marianne Burgess

About The Author

Marianne Burgess has been a writer most of her life. “Mists of Tor” arose from some of the ideas and characters that were created in that first of the tales of Eleusia “Shadow of the Spider”. As a teacher, she had found that there were many young children with fears of being weird, feeling like nothings, not knowing where they fit and feeling unworthy. As a result, the story of Miri emerged, the character becoming one of her favorites. Marianne’s favorite time of the day is developing her stories with her snoring little Belle, her King Charles Cavalier, at her feet.

The Mists Of Tor

Mists of Tor is a story of exciting adventure, dangerous plots, heart break and the challenges faced by a young girl, who over time develops the courage to face who and what she is despite the fact that she has no idea where she has come from or why she is so physically different from others. With purple hair, elfin ears and blue skin and the only one who looks like that, both at her home and at Citadel, the school for training in magical skills, it was natural for her to question who she was, where she came from and how she ended up with a wizard and a witch as her guardians.
